Welcome to Matlab D at Rice University

by admin last modified 2007-12-10 09:54
Matlab D is a parallel Matlab language which increases productivity by allowing scientists and engineers to develop code in the Matlab scripting language without worrying about the intricacies of parallel programming. When declaring an array to be used in parallel computation, the user specifies the data distribution for the array. The Matlab D compiler leverages Rice's High Performance Fortran compiler to divide the computation based on the data distributions and to generate Fortran plus MPI.

The strategy for Matlab D was published in this paper at ICASSP 2007.

The Matlab D compiler is built on the Telescoping Languages Framework developed at Rice University.
